ServiceTitan

1What it connects

ServiceTitan runs dispatch, invoicing and service history for trades businesses. The integration maps ServiceTitan customers to ClientTether contacts so the sales and marketing side of a customer lines up with their service record.

2Setting it up

On Settings → Service Titan, enter the three values ServiceTitan issues:

  • ST Client ID
  • ST Secret API Key
  • ST Tenant / Business Unit ID

Then complete the Service Titan Customer Mapping, which decides how a ServiceTitan customer is matched to — or created as — a ClientTether contact.

Tenant and business unit are not the same thing

Multi-location ServiceTitan accounts have several business units under one tenant. Using the wrong id connects you to the wrong set of customers, quietly.

3Troubleshooting

Authentication fails

Secret keys are rotated in ServiceTitan. Re-copy the current one.

Customers aren’t matching

Review the customer mapping — most mismatches are a field that’s populated on one side and not the other.
