1How integrations are enabled

Integrations in ClientTether are opt-in per account. Some — calendar and mailbox sync, the API, webhooks — are available to any account with the right user level. Most others are add-ons: once switched on (from Settings → Add-Ons or by your Success Manager), they add their own tab to the Settings page where you enter credentials and mapping. If a tab described here isn’t in your Settings list, the integration isn’t enabled for your account yet.

In an Enterprise structure, some integrations can be configured once at the top and shared with sub-accounts (Thumbtack, for example, offers Share Thumbtack Credentials With Subaccounts), and some are only available to specific franchise networks.

2Email and calendar

IntegrationWhat it doesWhere
Google Calendar / Outlook CalendarSync the ClientTether calendar with your Google or Outlook calendar. Sync and Unsync buttons, plus instructions for revoking access from the Google or Microsoft side. See Calendars.Settings → Calendar
Your own mailbox (SMTP & IMAP)Send email from, and read replies into, your own mailbox rather than ClientTether’s. Predefined setups for Gmail (through Google’s sign-in), Outlook via OAuth2 and iCloud, or a Custom server; optional Synchronize Calendar as part of the same connection.Settings → Email (SMTP & IMAP)
Email Domain RegistrationRegister your company’s domain for sending: get the DNS records to add at your domain host, then verify them. Once verified, email goes out under your domain instead of a shared one, which improves deliverability.Settings → Email Domain Registration (Enterprise owners)
TelephonyPhone numbers for calling and texting, alternate numbers, and the carrier registrations that business texting requires: A2P brand and campaign registration, and CNAM caller-ID. Not a third-party integration as such, but it’s the step every texting feature depends on.Settings → Telephony

3Lead sources and marketplaces

These integrations bring leads in. Each one lets you choose the lead source new contacts are filed under, so the right Connection Plan starts automatically.

IntegrationWhat it does
Web forms & web keyAny form on your website can post leads straight into ClientTether using a lead source’s web key. See Lead Sources and Webform Details in Settings.
Email ParserReads incoming lead emails (from portals that only send email), identifies them, and creates the contact with a chosen contact type, lead source, sales cycle and action plan. Parsers can be copied between accounts.
ThumbtackEnter your Thumbtack Business ID and choose separate lead sources for leads With Booking and Without Booking, with an optional duplicate check. Thumbtack messages also appear in the Unified Message Center. Credentials can be shared with, or inherited from, the parent account.
Angi AdsA unique endpoint to give Angi; incoming leads land in the lead source you pick, with an optional duplicate check.
HomeAdvisorSame pattern: a unique endpoint, plus separate lead sources for leads that arrive With an Appointment and Without an Appointment.
HireologyIncoming candidate/lead mapping from Hireology into ClientTether contacts.
ClubReadyImports prospects from ClubReady with a mapping of prospect type to contact type, lead source and action plan; shows the last import date and supports update runs.
FranConnectConnection to FranConnect using a client secret.
Send JimConnects a Send Jim account (grant token and user name).

Turn on the duplicate check

Marketplaces resend leads more often than you’d think. Where an integration offers Check Duplicate, leave it on so a returning lead updates the existing contact instead of creating a second one.

4Accounting and payments

IntegrationWhat it does
QuickBooks Online 3.0The current QuickBooks Online connection. Sign in to QuickBooks to authenticate, map ClientTether proposal items to a QBO product/service item name, choose the COGS chart of accounts, and optionally map up to three QBO invoice custom fields.
QuickBooks Bridge 2.0 and Quickbook IntegrationEarlier generations of the QBO connection with the same idea: decide which proposal delineation becomes a product in QuickBooks, and map custom invoice fields. Accounts already on one of these keep using it.
QuickBook DesktopFor QuickBooks Desktop: enter a QuickBooks username and password, download the generated .qwc web-connector file, and load it into QuickBooks. Unlink and regenerate the file if the details change.
TetherPay, TetherPay Gateways, TetherFluidPayCollect payments on proposals and invoices through a payment gateway (API key and web payments token). See Proposal System.

5Field service and operations

IntegrationWhat it does
ServiceBridge / ServiceBridge 2.0Import and export between ClientTether and ServiceBridge, per branch ID (add as many branches as you run). Requires an API user in ServiceBridge; 2.0 can copy the settings from the older version.
ServiceTitanConnects with a ServiceTitan client ID, secret key and tenant/business-unit ID, and maps ServiceTitan customers to ClientTether contacts.
CompanyCamLinks CompanyCam projects to contacts using an access token and a project naming convention, so job photos are reachable from the profile.
Dispatch.meSends jobs to Dispatch.me with the proposal details you choose, and can process leads that start in Dispatch. Provides a receiving URL for Dispatch to call back.
Jules – Virtual Scheduler, Virtual SchedulesVirtual scheduling add-ons for booking appointments without a person on the phone.
AI Agent Providers, CTranscribe+AI agent and call-transcription add-ons.
AWS QuickSight BIBusiness-intelligence dashboards in AWS QuickSight for chosen users.
Roof Maxx, TMIBrand-specific integrations available only to those franchise networks.

6Your own systems: API and webhooks

The API

Settings → API holds your account’s Access Token and Web Key (copy-to-clipboard buttons beside each), a Partner Access Details list for third parties you’ve granted access to, and a single switch: Duplicate check performed on create_client, which makes the API update an existing contact rather than create a duplicate. Sub-accounts in an Enterprise are told to ask the main Enterprise account for the token. Each user’s ID for API v2 is shown in Settings → Users.

Webhooks

Settings → Webhook pushes contact data to a URL of yours whenever a contact is saved. You set:

  • the URL (complete, including https), the method (POST, GET or PUT) and the payload style (Form Data or JSON);
  • headers and payload key/value pairs of your own — values can use tokens, so {{client.email}} becomes the contact’s email at send time;
  • whether to include the standard contact payload (name, company, address, email, phones and custom fields) alongside your own fields;
  • conditions on contact fields (with the same matching options as list filters: equals, not equals, greater/less than, similar to, in list, between, is empty) joined with AND/OR;
  • an Activate switch — nothing is sent until it’s on.

With GET, the fields are appended to the URL as a query string. Every call is written to the contact’s history as a note containing the response, and to the Webhook Monitor. If the endpoint answers with an error (HTTP 400 or higher), a webhook failed notification is raised.

Webhooks send on every contact save

Editing a phone number, moving a sales-cycle step, running an import — each save can fire the webhook. Make sure the receiving system can handle repeated calls for the same contact.

7Monitoring what went through

The user menu has a set of monitors for exactly this purpose:

MonitorShows
API MonitorCalls made against your account’s API: date, requested URL, requester IP and the response.
Webhook MonitorEvery webhook call with URL, method, payload, headers and the response received.
Text MonitorTexts with their status and any error message from the carrier.
Email Quarantine MonitorEmail addresses that were quarantined, with the date and reason, and an action to deal with them.
Group Messaging QueueScheduled bulk sends: template, schedule type and time, and contact count.
Queue StatusBackground jobs such as imports, with their type and status.

8Troubleshooting

Leads from a marketplace stopped arriving

Open the integration’s tab and confirm the endpoint or business ID is still what the marketplace has on file, and that the chosen lead source still exists. Then check the API Monitor for rejected calls.

My webhook never fires

Check the Activate switch, then the URL (it must be a complete, valid URL). Open Webhook Monitor: if there are no entries, it isn’t being triggered; if there are entries with error responses, the receiving side is rejecting the call.

QuickBooks shows as disconnected

Return to the QuickBooks tab and sign in again with Login to QuickBook Online to Authenticate.
